In this DIY project, Paul shows how he made a washing machine conversion with custom-sawn MDF moisture-resistant 25mm. After preparing his project, he ordered the custom panels online. This way he could start his job immediately. Read more about his experience below.

Description from Paul

Washing machine conversion with solid oak worktop (top was already owned), cupboard and sound-insulating panels incorporated into the furniture. Because the underfloor heating distributor + If the water supply and drain are to be accessible, the back wall of the cabinet can be removed. If necessary, the entire piece of furniture can be pulled forward, the side panels and back wall will then remain in place.

How I made this project

The drawings were made in Autodesk Inventor. Then ordered everything custom-made. The dimensions of the supplied panels were excellent! First mill all the plates with holes and bevelled edges. Treat edges with sealer. Mount everything firmly and straight with screws and glue. Primed once, then top coated twice. Fill the plinths and the top of the worktop with 20 mm sound insulation board. The oak worktop has been treated with Rigo paintable color oil and skylt original 3 layers. This creates a beautiful matte untreated look.
