Description by Marcel
For our bathroom renovation we were looking for a simple bathroom furniture. We have a small bathroom and wanted to make the most of the space. Due to the L-shape and open 'box' we have space for things and space to place two sinks. The water supply and siphon are concealed in the furniture. The furniture is an 'open' structure. The bottom and top planks are connected with three stacked planks to keep the grain of the plywood level with the other planks.
How I made this project
We started by staining the wood to provide a protective layer and beautiful color. We connected the connecting pieces together with a slat cutter and glued them with wood glue. After this, the steel hairpin legs and wall brackets were mounted to determine the position in the bathroom. Holes were drilled for the sink tap and drain with a 55mm and 30mm hole drill. For extra protection and a smooth finish, the furniture is then lacquered with transparent boat lacquer. After installing the taps and sinks, the furniture is anchored to the wall and sealed.
Dimensions of my DIY project
120.0 x 40.0 x 28.0 and 125 .0 x 30.0 x 28.0 cm. With 40mm okoume plywood and 60cm hairpin legs
