In this DIY project, Menno shares his experience of making a side table himself. He chose to order sturdy 27mm plywood online. By opting for the online cutting service, he was able to start the project immediately. The result is a unique and very sturdy side table!

Description by Menno

After searching for a nice side table to put a plant on for a while, I eventually decided to draw it myself, ordered wood and wax oil, and started acting as a furniture maker.

How I made this project

After making a few sketches, I finally chose the design that is now made. My construction drawings are usually rough drafts that are adjusted once or often, and this time was no exception. I ordered the material and glued it together using lamellos (there are no screws or nails). My projects usually feature overkill, and this little table, now holding a plant, is probably strong enough to serve as a step for two people.
