Description of Maurits
A mountain of storage space in a whopper of a cupboard. For a children's room in the attic (where some large items can also be stored), I made a large cupboard under a sloping wall. The cabinet is made entirely of clear lacquered OSB. At the bottom there are four large rolling chests. Above three closed cupboards with ten large shelves. There is one open cupboard. The doors have heavy soft-close hinges for a neat, gentle closing of the doors.
How I made this project
A lot of stuff needs to be stored and easily accessible. With this starting point, a design was first devised with four rolling boxes and three doors. One open compartment has been designed to show off items. All in all a nice balance. After measuring the space (and finalizing the design), a large quantity of OSB could be ordered. The OSB is finished clear with a matte lacquer before installation. The long left side is screwed to the inner wall. After this, it's a matter of assembling all the custom OSB as if it were a prefab cabinet. The concealed hinges were drilled into the doors with a 35 mm drill.
Dimensions of my DIY project
